I have a customer that claims to have a CPU bound application running, so we are interested what is going on here.
We do not understand the LiveOptics CPU graph.
The box has 48 cores (2x 24) with 2.7 GHz = 129.g GHz
They run Windows native - no virtualization - and only ONE application (scientific calculations)
We see that max 32 cores are used (whatever the reason is for that, I will check later, that’s not the question)
We also assume no HT is used.
- How come that NET CPU% can be 100% when only 32 cores are saturated (=core usage level over 90%) ?
- why NET CPU% is 0% when 16 cores are saturated ?
Any ideas ?
