Welcome to the release notes for the initial launch of the Collector Support Bundle for the Live Optics .Net Windows Collector. (To see most recent releases, please ensure that you download the latest version of the Live Optics collector to get the latest updates and enhancements. New Features/Fixes
- Initial Release
- This initial release provides wizard functionality to assemble .Net Windows (only) Collector data into a bundle (Zip File) and generate a draft email with dynamic text to send to support.liveoptics.com to facilitate a diagnosis of customer’s issues with collection
The potential files (see notes about file size considerations) in the Zip folder bundle include:

A list of all of the filenames in the current working directory and their sizes in bytes. This will identify if files were excluded from the ZIP due to size constraints. |
All LiveOptics Troubleshooting Trace* files |
While it is possible that a scenario might have such a large number of trace files or number of extremely large trace files that the size of the resulting ZIP exceeds what could be sent by email, this will be extremely unlikely. Therefore, please just include all trace files in the ZIP. If the uncompressed size of the trace files exceeds 50 MB, include no other files. |
All LiveOptics_Configuration.xml files (there should only be one if any) |
This file should be very small. So, need to examine or consider its size. |
All LiveOptics_Temp* files |
Include temp files but only if the uncompressed size of the total of all temp files is less than 50 MB. |
All *.siokit files |
Include siokit files but only if the uncompressed size of the total of all siokit files is less than 6 MB. (These files are compressed, and therefore we should be more cautious in including them.) |
Potential file types with prefixes include:
- Log Files: "LiveOptics_Troubleshooting*.txt,*.log"
- Collector Config: "LiveOptics_Configuration.xml"
- Temp Files: "*.tmp,*.0, ManifestEntry.*.tmp"
- Siokit files: "*.siokit"
- List of files: "filesList.json"
Collector Support Bundle Wizard functionality (for .Net Windows OP collector only)
- Collector will automatically assemble files for possible inclusion in support bundle email
- Will open an email addressed to support.liveoptics.com with dynamic text
- Will deliver error messages if problems in assembling bundle/generating email draft are incurred

Known Limitations
The current known limitations of Collector Support Bundle for .Net Windows are:
- Internet connection is required
- The Live Optics Collector services must be allowed through the user firewall to run a collection and generate the files to send to LO Support
- Very large file sizes might require user to limit which files to send or, for exceptionally large files, to use FTP instead of standard email with Zip attachment (see notes on file sizes)
