Overview

Project completes successfully, however, presents very low, or zero IOPS

After upgrading vSAN hosts to 6.7, when vSAN performance service starts, it will try to automatically upgrade its database schema from the previous vSAN version resulting in error.

This is a known VMware issue

 

Issue

After upgrading vSAN host from ESXi/vSAN 6.7 to ESXi/vSAN 6.7U1 or ESXi/vSAN 6.5P03/6.5U2 to ESXi/vSAN 6.7U1/U2, it will try to automatically upgrade its database schema from the previous vSAN version resulting in error.

 

  • For ESXi/vSAN 6.7 U1, the vSAN performance database schema from 6.7 cannot be properly upgraded due to inconsistent internal schema patching sequence.
  • For ESXi/vSAN 6.7 U2, the vSAN performance database schema from 6.5P03/6.5U2 cannot be properly upgraded due to inconsistent internal schema patching sequence.
