4/17/2023 | New Feature
RAPID Discovery now collects Kubernetes inventory data for multiple clusters from customer environments. Data is collected using SSH and Kubectl commands, and is presented under new tabs on the existing RAPID Discovery Excel spreadsheet report.
NOTE: RAPID Discovery supports Kubernetes collection from Linux environments only.

- RAPID Discovery now scans customer environments for Kubernetes inventory data.
- The Excel report generated at the end of a RAPID Discovery scan contains new tabs for data reporting on:
- Nodes
- Pods
- Containers
- Volumes
- Persistent Volumes
- Persistent Volumes Claims
- CSI Drivers
- Volume Snapshots
- Replica Sets

3/14/2023 | New Feature
RAPID Discovery now scans Linux compute resources to detect GPUs and presents GPU details in a new Excel report tab.
Feature Outline
- As part of a RAPID Discovery scan, the tool now scans for and detects GPUs.
- The Excel report generated at the end of a RAPID Discovery scan now contains a new GPUs tab if GPUs are detected. If no GPUs are detected, the tab does not appear.
- The GPUs tab displays the following details on the model and vendor:
- One or more IP Ranges
- DNS network names
- Hostnames
- Individual IP addresses
- Your RAPID Discovery application must connect to a remote Linux host via SSH for GPU discovery.

This feature currently supports Linux environments only.

This update replaces the single line text box IP Scan entry screen with a multi-line text box named Network Scan.

RAPID Discovery is a new collection type in which the Live Optics collector scans a network range or connects to Active Directory to collect data on your network devices.
Feature Outline
- Provide a range of IP addresses for the Live Optics collector to scan.
- Active Directory is scanned and information on all known devices is collected.
- Connect to Windows devices with WMI to collect detailed inventory and configuration information.
- Connect to Linux targets using SSH to collect detailed inventory and configuration information.
- You can export the collected data to an Excel Spreadsheet for reference.
