Overview
This article outlines PSS Solution Request for Live Optics.
Through the Live Optics portal, you can now submit a solution request to PSS for VxRail Sizing or AIRXpress Extended Report.
Creating an Optical Prime Project
To create an Optical Prime project, first Download the Live Optics Collector and follow instructions on how to Create Optical Prime Projects from Existing Collector Runs or with Multiple Collector Runs.
Submitting a PSS Solution Request
To submit a request, while on the Optical Prime project, go to the Export menu, and select PSS Solution Request.
A pop-up modal will prompt you to enter the following information:
Account Name |
Associated account name |
Account ID |
Associated SFDC account ID |
Theater |
Select theater (Americas, APJ, EMEA, Greater China) |
Phone number |
A valid phone number for the requestor in case follow-up is needed |
Service |
Select the PSS Service that is available for this type of project. One or more Solutions will be available for each PSS Service category. |
Solution |
Select one of the Solution options available for this category of PSS service. |
Solution Subject |
Will be the name of the PSS proposal and will be embedded into the resulting report. This will be auto-populated with the Optical Prime project name but could be set as preferred. |
Special Instructions (Optional) |
If this field is populated, then PSS will put the request into a manual queue. Proposal requests requiring special instructions may result in processing delays. |
Once you click “Submit Request”, your request will be submitted to PSS queue for processing. You should receive a Success message indicated your request has been successfully submitted. You’ll be contacted by PSS once your report is ready.
