Welcome to the release notes for NetApp enhancements for Live Optics. To avail of the most recent releases, please ensure that you download the latest version of the Live Optics collector to get the latest updates and enhancements. We encourage you to follow this page to receive email notifications when this document is updated.

New Features/Fixes
- New collector framework in place that will allow for fewer connectivity issues
- Cluster mode
- Versions 8.0 – 8.2 are NOW supported
- 7-mode
- Diffie-Hellman Key issue with SSH – fixed
- Collector crashes during collection if SSH session is open against the array or the partner array – this is a different issue from above – please make sure port 22 is not being used by any other process – fixed
- Some 7-mode HA pairs are showing up as a single node – fixed
- Browser must be refreshed to see status updates – fixed
- Dedupe, compression, total data reduction and physical capacity values do not contain the capacity value for Root volumes.
- Physical capacity calculation is: DFA – all root volume values from DF
- Individual root volume details are included in the aggregates and volumes tabs
- Disks listed as broken or unassigned are not included in the number of disks
- Simulator (SIMBOX) is NOT supported
- Print Volume page will provide the top 15 volumes sorted by total size
- Volumes with no aggregate are not included in the capacity
- Volumes listed as “reserved” are not included in the capacity
- Features slide is limited to 9 features, full list is in the online viewer
- Volumes with < 100 IOPS will not count latency values in the calculations
- XLSX values are KiB

The following known limitations should be considered when using Live Optics to assess a NetApp storage array.

- Internet connection is required
- The Live Optics Collector services must be allowed through the user firewall to run a successful collection.
