Live Optics displays an error suggesting that the vCenter credentials used are invalid.
This is often the case when a customer utilizes what they believe to be a full Administrator account where some required Optical Prime settings are turned off.
Typically speaking, all issues related to Optical Prime successfully connecting to a vCenter are alleviated by using the VMWare default Admin account:
It is important to remember that Optical Prime uses HTTPS to connect to the web-based user interface of vCenter. Testing to rule out firewall issues is as simple as logging into vSphere from the same host as our collector. If you are unable to log in to vSphere, Optical Prime will not be able to do so either.
